Stormwater basin deliveries at Dr. Jeremiah Cameron Park have been completed! Over the course of three weeks, more than 320 individual pieces were installed in the park to serve as downstream underground storage for the project.

On Thursday, April 24, project partners, businesses, councilmembers, City leadership and community members gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Westport Stormwater Improvements project.

In partnership with design-builder Burns & McDonnell and key stakeholders, KC Water officially broke ground today on the Westport Stormwater Improvements Project—a major infrastructure investment to reduce frequent flash flooding in the historic Westport neighborhood.
Early Work is Underway!
Early work for KC Water’s Westport Stormwater Improvements project began this week at Dr. Jeremiah Cameron Park, near the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and 43rd Street.
